My cooking experience

Since everyone else I know who has a blog has already made a post about food they have cooked, it's time that I make one too. And to present things in the extreme end of what other people have done (especially Llew and Jo), I'm going to show you the easiest and least complicated meal on earth. =P

Well, as I had too many stuffs in my fridge which need to be rid of, I decided to make do with whatever was left in there. The lucky draw was the Thai vegetable 'Cha-om'(Acacia pennata) I bought from the roadside market about a week ago and an egg from 3 weeks ago. I'll skip the photos of the ingredients as they are not so appealing to look at. =P The preparing process is just taking only the leaves and the soft stems of the vegetable and mixing an egg in. Putting a little bit of fish sauce is optional but I would recommend it as it tastes much better (for those who don't mind this stuff).

Then fry the mixture as if you fry an egg.


And that's it, you can eat it with rice and some other dish if you have them. In my case, it was the left over half freshwater fish, 3 weeks old tomato and yesterday rice. =P Honestly, it tastes pretty good regardless of how frightening the age of these stuffs sounds.


Cost: Vegetable = 7 baht, Egg = 2.5 baht, Rice = 1.5 baht -> Total = 11 baht = app. 35 cents (AU)
Time: Preparation = 3 minutes, Cooking = 2 minutes -> Total = no more than 5 minutes (providing that rice is already cooked)

This can definitely compete with instant noodle. =D
